Year 11 students sitting Unit 3/4 VCAA exams

A reminder to Year 11 students sitting VCAA exams that they are permitted to use the day prior to their VCAA exam to study. They are encouraged to come on site, so that they are able to access their teachers.

For afternoon exams, students are not expected to attend classes on the morning of their exam.

For morning exams, students are expected to attend classes once they have sat their exam.

It is expected that the students will manage their time appropriately, so that they are still completing all required coursework for their Year 11 classes, despite the disruption caused by Year 12 exams.

Year 11 Geography fieldwork

An essential component of the VCE Geography curriculum is for students to conduct fieldwork at a site for each of Units 1, 2 and 3. This year, the Year 11 Geography students were lucky enough to experience perfect weather for their visit to Sovereign Hill, to analyse the living museum as a tourist attraction.

The Victorian public sector offers work experience placements for Year 9 and Year 10 high school students. Work experience provides high school students with an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the public sector and explore career options at the same time.

In a work experience placement, you'll get insights into how the Victorian Government works, as well as learning about the day-to-day operations of a particular business area. Most departments, agencies and other Victorian public sector organisations are happy to arrange work experience placements for students. You can contact them directly for information and placements.
