See how we celebrated another fantastic year in Science
Year 7 students celebrated a fantastic year of Science by visiting the zoo. This linked in with their final science topic of Adaptations and Ecosystems.
Students were able to explore the zoo, as well as attending a session where they analysed the structure and function of different fossilised skulls.
Year 8 students celebrated a fantastic year of Science by visiting Scienceworks. Students attended the planetarium, where they watched a show regarding Indigenous stories of the stars.
Students attending the lightening room, where they were able to apply their knowledge about light and sound and were able to see the Tesla Coil in action!
Students ended the day at Sportsworks, where they were able to test their strength, balance and speed!
Year 9 students attended the program at Ecolinc as part of their final topic of Ecosystems. Students participated in a range of activities including reptile encounters, an ecosystems scavenger hunt, viewing samples under a microscope and an ecosystems board game. It was a great way to see students applying their classroom knowledge in a real world context!
It has been another fantastic year in Science at ECSC. We continue to be impressed by the hard work and dedication our students demonstrate in Science! Have a restful and wonderful summer break and we look forward to 2024!
