"SJV SPEAKS FOR THE TREES".

School Concert

As we start to pack away costumes & props and the adrenaline is replaced by calmness and a touch of fatigue, we reflect on another amazing SJV community event- ‘SJV SPEAKS FOR THE TREES’ 2023 school concert.

For those who experienced the colour, sound and excitement of our school concert you would no doubt agree that the students ‘put their best foot forward’ on so many levels. They shone! Special mention to our leading stars: Thisath & Zahra and Narrators - Sophia, Angela, Kristy, Mya, Amelia, Eva, Leo, Keziah, Alexander, Ethan, Nirvair, Alisha, Angus, Tina, Nathan, Hannah, Paris & Isabella.

We thank the whole community for the success of this event, too many wonderful people to name individually so I’ll thank the kids, staff, audience, administrators, techies, costume providers, musicians & Crossway Centre.

I would, however, like to acknowledge Dr Seuss for his visionary insights some 50+ years ago when he wrote ‘The Lorax’. Environmental issues have been a hot topic for a long time & we hope that through the arts and education, we have once again highlighted the need for care of our environment. Our students are our beacons!

Here are a few snaps from both nights of the concert. The digital download recording of both nights will be available early next term. There will be more information given then as to how to get your download!!

Thanks for your support of The Arts at SJV.

Kind regards
