Busking For Change

Wednesday September 6th was Indigenous Literacy Day. On Tuesday 5th September, we had a whole school assembly to watch our Prep-2 student perform the song ‘Words Make the World Go Round’ 

The students learnt this song in Humanities as part of their work with Busking For Change; a fundraiser developed by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. 

After the students ‘busked’, parents, teachers and students placed money in the tub in front of the students. The students felt like real buskers! 

Donations are still being finalised, but so far we have raised over $500! 

What an amazing effort and a fantastic donation so that the Indigenous Literacy Foundation can continue their wonderful work with Aboriginal children in remote communities around Australia.
