Term 4 is such a wonderful time for all of us here at SKiPPS. A time for consolidating our learning and our relationships and for celebrating all that we have achieved. That said, it is also a time when we can find ourselves feeling quite tired, which is why it is so important to maintain healthy habits and routines. The quantity and quality of our sleep is one of the key areas in which we can have a positive impact.

 

 

 

The Pivot Wellbeing Surveys in Term 3 highlighted for us that there were many students reporting issues with sleep and feeling tired.   This term, the Year 5/6 students have started digging into this a little further through circle time sessions focusing on the importance of sleep and sleep ‘hygiene’. Students will also keep a sleep diary over the coming week (see below).   Our intention is to build a better understanding of the importance of sleep and good sleep habits and, most importantly, to build a positive relationship with sleep.
