Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have

 the right to feel safe.

The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people

 is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

St Louis de Montfort is Celebrating 60 years

Good afternoon families,

I hope you have all had a good week. We have had a very busy week and I am certainly getting my steps up as I do some of the walking to and from OSHC. I am very grateful to Their Care at Aspendale Garden's primary school. Our students are having a great time and the opportunity I get to have a chat to the students as walk to or from school. Some of the stories are hilarious and really make my day.

Mother's Day breakfast

Thank you so much to the Year 1 parents for putting on this wonderful community event. It is always so well attended and the noise in the hall is fabulous. Thank you to the school choir for entertaining the mums and to Mrs Stefanec for training our choir. Always so lovely to see the dads serving the breakfast, a huge shout out to these dads.

Thank you to Anne and the Year 1 mums for running the Mother's Day stall. This is always something all our students look forward to each year.

Chelsea District Cross Country

Congratulations to all our 52 students who competed in this event yesterday. Thank you to the staff who attended  and supported our students.

All parents who have siblings starting school next year, please put your enrolments forms in as soon as possible. We already have a large number of students enrolled for 2026 and we want to make sure that all our siblings are enrolled.

A Mother's Day Prayer

All-loving God,

We give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old.

We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need;

May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.

We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us;

May they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.

We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty, or conflict;

May they feel the loving embrace of our God whowipes every tear away.

We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.

We remember mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.

Amen.

I wish all the mums, grandmothers and anyone in a mothering role a lovely day on Sunday.
