Year 10 News
Vermont Secondary College
We have been very fortunate to enjoy some extended holidays and long weekends and now it is time to settle into a solid term of work. We remind students that the work they do now is going to impact the choices that are available to you in Year 11. If you feel concerned about your progress, particularly after reading your term 1 report, please speak to your Student Manager and we will look for ways to give you further support both at school and at home.
Students are reminded that our school uniform is important because it fosters school identity, creates a sense of unity, and improves safety by making it easier to identify students. Uniforms also reduce peer pressure and allow students to focus more on their education rather than their appearance.
Over winter, no hoodies will be allowed under any circumstances. Alternative jackets will be provided by your student manager if needed. (That includes uniform passes requested via a note from home)
To further build our Year 10 community we will once again run an interhouse soccer competition. Thanks to those students who have initiated this idea. Dates will be shared in the Year 10 Teams soon. May the best house win😊
