Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

It’s been a busy week at school, but honestly when is it not? We have had plenty of events to keep us busy.

  • On Monday all students experienced a dance session with Dean from Dance Connection. Even some of our more reluctant dancers were totally intrigued and involved with their classroom sessions
  • Thank you to the team of parents under the direction of Michelle Haggarty who provided the opportunity for the students to find something special from the Mothers' Day Stall
  • Tonight all staff will complete their 3 yearly First Aid Training and yearly CPR revision after school
  • Today our Year 6 Marine Ambassadors attended Moorooduc PS and I thank

    Mr Sullivan for organising this

  • Tomorrow we look forward to welcoming Mums and other special visitors for our annual Mother's Day Celebration. Thanks to staff for your organisation of this, particularly Mrs Brooking who is instrumental in this occasion every year.

Next week:

  • Final Open Morning on Monday 12 May at 9.15am. If you know of a family still looking to enrol their Foundation level student for 2026 please ask them to ring the office and book in for this final group tour
  • Whole School Photo - Thursday 15 May. As almost everyone is aware we get a big, group photo taken each year that is displayed outside the girls' toilets in the corridor- this will be another for the collection. It will be the first for our Foundation and our last for our Year 6 cohort
  • Foundation Excursion to the Zoo on Friday 16 May. This is a highlight of the Foundation yearly calendar and it is always exciting to hear the children reminisce about their favourite memories
  • A "Space and Natural Disasters" educator will work with our Year 5/6 students on Friday 16 May as part of their Inquiry Unit.

In building news I was informed this week that a preferrred tender has been identified. There is now a process to work through before the contract is awarded. It appears likely that builders will not be on-site until very close to the end of term but with luck should be ready to hand over by Christmas. It is a very exciting time for our school.

A reminder that in faith news we wish Father all the best with catching up with his family in India. We will continue to have level based Liturgies in his absence based on the Gospel of the Week.

Thanks again for a wonderful week, and we look forward to what’s ahead!

God Bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
