Term Two Lunchtime Clubs
Jesse Hughes
Last term, Senior students developed their clubs while exploring the Big Idea of Rights and Responsibilities in Guided Inquiry. These clubs focused on bringing the individual interests of students into the schoolyard. The idea was to help foster community in school by running interest-based clubs each lunchtime. Whilst not all clubs got off the ground, it was a fantastic and authentic learning experience.
After much development and planning, we are excited to announce that many new clubs will be starting this week during lunchtime.
On Mondays, we have the Creative Clay Club (Years 2-4) and the Radical Robots (Years 4-6), and Magic Movement (Years 1-2).
On Tuesdays, we have BNW Book Club (Years 3-4), Performance Club (Years 1-2), and the
Not So Tiny Tots Table Tennis Club (Years 5-6).
On Wednesdays, we have Flavour Factory (even weeks- Years 5-6), Culinary Kids (odd weeks- Years 1-6), Mini Athletes (Years 2-4), and Music Mayhem (Years 5-6).
On Thursdays, we have The Unusual Club (Years 5-6) and Tiny Hoops Netball (Years 1-2).
On Fridays, we have Dylan and Arlo’s Drawing Club (Years 3-6).
There will also be a Soccer Tournament during Week 3 for Years 5-6, run by Louie, Zoran and Ryan.
More information on these clubs, including locations, can be found on posters on the large bulletin board outside of SAJ. The clubs have also created pamphlets that you will be able to take home.
We encourage everyone to come down to our Club Bulletin Board with your child and find something that interests them! Who knows where it will lead?!
