National Road Safety Week
National Road Safety Week (17-24 May) is an initiative from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways Group, partnering road safety organisations and government to highlight the impact of road trauma and ways to reduce it.
Every year, more than 1200 people are killed and 44,000 seriously injured on Australian roads. Traffic injury is the biggest killer of Australian children under 15 and the second-biggest killer of all Australians aged between 15 and 24. These numbers are growing every year but are preventable if we choose to Drive So Others Survive!
In 2026, WA has seen 79 road fatalities, 38 of those in a regional area. National Road Safety Week is a time for us to remember those people who have experienced trauma on our roads. We urge communities to come together and make their pledge to ensure the roads are safe for everyone. To drive so others, survive.
ESTs and Examinations
ESTs (Externally Set Tasks) and Year 11 and 12 ATAR examinations will be taking place over the next few weeks. Please be mindful of noise levels around the Rec Centre during these periods. Good luck to all the students sitting these assessments in the upcoming weeks.
WACOA Cunderdin V WACOA Narrogin Scratch Match
On 10 June all Country Week teams will be travelling to Corrigin to play scratch matches with WACOA-Narrogin. Both schools are sending hockey, football, basketball, netball and volleyball to Country Week so these students will play in their teams.
Students not on these teams will be scorers, runners, umpires and support crew. A BBQ will follow at the conclusion of matches. Students will be departing the College at 12:00pm and arriving back at 5:30pm. More information will be distributed to parents and families via Consent2go in the coming days.
