ITALIAN

Italian lessons have been buzzing with flag making,  pizza making and map labelling!  Students are all learning about the culture of  Italy beginning with what we know about Italy then exploring new aspects about the country and its history.  Well Done to our Foundation students on their first Italian lesson and saying, “Buon Giorno Signora Corso” (Good Afternoon Mrs Corso).

SPORT

Starting off the year with a bang in Sport we have spent the first week playing team games. Foundation and grade ones demonstrated some great abilities on the playground and showed off their dancing abilities. While 2-6 played some fun, competitive games to get back into the swing of things. 

This term in Sport we are focusing on Tennis and Lawn bowls. Bring on the fun Sporty Paddys!

STEM

This week in STEM, we will be focusing on staying safe online. Safer Internet Day 2024 will take place on the 6th of February 2024, with learning based around the theme 'Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.'

It is a global event that brings together communities, families, schools and organisations from more than 200 countries to help create safer online spaces.

The key components are:

*Connect safely and with purpose – keep your personal information private, share passwords with trusted adults and be kind and caring to others online.

*Reflect before we act – think of others’ feelings, ask someone if it’s ok and be curious and ask questions.

*Protect ourselves and others by taking action – be a supportive friend and ask a trusted adult for help.

ART

Check out these guys repping our new St Pat's art smocks. We now have a class set of waterproof smocks in a range of sizes for use in art and any other messy fun we get up to - to protect our lovely uniforms! Don’t they match our uniform perfectly ?
