IMPORTANT INFORMATION

FOR SACRED HEART FAMILIES

BUS TRANSPORT

Eligibility for FREE bus travel: All K-2 students are eligible for free bus travel whether they are within the 1.6km radius of the school or not.

(You must apply for an online bus travel application - click on link below)

Year 3-6 students living outside the 1.6km radius of school are also eligible for free bus travel; however, if you live within this radius, you must communicate with your bus company.

If any of your child's details have changed, you will need to re-apply for a school travel pass or update details (click on the link below) if the student:

  • change school or campus.
  • change home address.
  • change their name.
  • received an expiry notification but have special circumstances.
  • is requesting a new transport operator.

CHANGES TO PICK-UP ARRANGEMENTS

As previously mentioned, it is extremely important that if there are different pick-up arrangements for your child that you contact the school. Due to the busy nature of the front office, we ask that you either send in a handwritten note on the day or our preferred communication would be to phone the office with this information.

If you have someone else picking up your child, don't hesitate to get in touch with the school to let them know, as we cannot let them leave with someone else if we don't have knowledge of this arrangement. This also includes OOSH.

Privacy Collection Notice for 2024 Student Residential Address and Other Information

What is the Address Collection?

Data is collected for all students enrolled at the start of the collection period and obtains the following data from eligible schools, for each location at the school:

  • Student residential address (excluding student names).
  • Whether the student is a primary or secondary student (education level).
  • Whether the student is boarding or a day student (boarding status).
  • Names and residential addresses of students’ parent(s) and/or guardian(s).

This data is collected under sections 52 (1), 52(3)(c), 52(4) and 58B of the AustralianEducation Regulation 2013.

The information collected informs school funding calculations. It is combined with data held by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to calculate a non-government school community’s capacity to contribute (CTC) to the costs of schooling. This may influence the level of Australian Government recurrent funding for non-government schools.
