Round 2 Report

On Monday evening, 13 May, after many hours of preparation, our Mazenod College Mock Trial teams (Years 10 & 11), returned to the Courtroom to test their advocacy skills for Round 2!

The teams, comprising Barristers, Solicitors, Witnesses and Court Officers, prepared another fictitious criminal case and appeared before mock trial judges in the old Supreme Court, Stirling Gardens, Perth.

In both cases, the scores were extremely close! Our Prosecution team (Mazenod White) was victorious against the Defence team (Lake Joondalup Baptist College) and our Defence team (Mazenod Blue) was only narrowly defeated by the Prosecution team (St Andrew's Grammar).

Congratulations to all students and staff involved. Special thanks to the College Principal, Mr Simon Harvey, and parents who attended the mock hearings to support the boys. Thank you to Mrs Daniela Tonon for her advocacy and assistance with coaching our boys.
