🛌🏻Cebula Boarding
Boarding News
National Boarding Week was celebrated in the Cebula residential community with great enthusiasm by the boys and the staff who all enjoyed the activities.
After a special boarding-themed assembly, we kicked off the celebrations with the combined Mass and supper with the St Brigid’s boarding community on Sunday, May 12.
The remainder of the week included an ice cream van for afternoon tea, the baby photo competition, a former boarder as our dinner guest speaker and the invite-a-teacher-to-dinner night. Two additional highlights of the week were the inaugural Master Chef competition which certainly showcased the hidden chefs in our community and the invite-a-day-boy-to-boarding weekend. A big thank you to the boys for their enthusiastic participation and the staff who supported the extra activities.
Last Friday’s Athletics Carnival saw the Cebula spirit in full flight. The boys may belong to the smallest house, but they certainly have the best spirit with many competing in numerous events, often back-to-back. A big thank you to all the parents who travelled to Perth to watch their sons compete and to Clinton M, the Cebula Captain, for his fabulous effort on the day organising the boys into events and ensuring maximum participation.
With the long weekend fast approaching, the boys are all looking forward to some downtime at home with family and friends after what has been a busy and productive term thus far!
