Round 10 Winners
Round 10 proved to be another fascinating round of football with upsets at the beginning and end of the round and several interesting games in between. Patrick Jebb (Class of 1982) was the only person who picked eight winners and as such is this week’s winner of the $50. Congratulations Pat! Twenty other people did very nicely and picked seven winners.
With regard to the overall leaderboard Matt Sinclair (Class of 1983) leads on 67, Cherie Fry is second on 66, Adam Disisto (Class of 2017) is in outright third on 65 and there are six people on 63.
Round 11
Western Bulldogs v Sydney
Sydney is four games clear of the Bulldogs, but you would still expect this to be close given the upsurge in the Bulldogs performances over the last two weeks;
Fremantle v Collingwood
A big Friday night game. Fremantle are yet to beat a team that is in the eight. Collingwood has won two of the last three games played between these sides at Optus Stadium;
Carlton v Gold Coast
Gold Coast has won three of its last four games. Carlton has lost three of its last four games. Gold Coast has won two of the last three games played between these sides at Marvel Stadium and yet I imagine most people will tip Carlton;
North Melbourne v Port Adelaide
This match is being played in Tasmania which improves North’s chances but not enough to tip them;
Geelong v GWS
Both these sides have lost their last three games. Interestingly, GWS has won the last three games played between these sides at GMHBA Stadium;
Richmond v Essendon
Dreamtime at the G. One of the big nights on the AFL calendar. 2nd v 17th – Enjoy the pre-match build up as I can’t see this being much of a contest;
Hawthorn v Brisbane
As best as I can tell these sides have never played each other at Marvel Stadium. Both sides are in reasonable form;
Melbourne v St Kilda
St Kilda continue to struggle, and Melbourne suffered a shock loss to the West Coast, but I imagine most people tip them to bounce back here; and
Adelaide v West Coast
The last four games between these sides at the Adelaide Oval are evenly split. Despite West Coast’s great win on the weekend, it’s hard to tip anything other than an Adelaide win.
Please note that as we use the FootyTips website to host our competition we are compelled to adhere to the rules of that website. These rules are available on the website but a couple that are worth drawing to your attention are:
1: If you fail to enter any tips for the round you will be allocated all away teams but the maximum default score for the round will be capped at 5; and
2: If you don’t submit a tip (or a margin) for the nominated game of the week you will be allocated the away team and a margin of zero.
Good Luck and thanks for the support.
