Year 1/2  News

This term we have become historians and we have gone back in time. It has been a lot of fun learning about how everyday objects have changed over time, such as a typewriter, CD player and an old telephone. We also have been sharing our ideas of “what makes something historical.” It was such an engaging and interesting experience. We all have such a different idea of what we think is “historical.” From Pokemon cards to an old radio from the 1960s and a historical fossil from a Trilobite, it was very interesting learning about our friends’ understanding of history. 

Next week we will be heading the Melbourne Museum and we will continue to be inquirers. We are looking forward to learning more about how life has changed in Melbourne as well as investigating old Australian toys from over the decades. We can’t wait!
