Indigenous Reconciliation Dinner
On Wednesday 29 May, our students Teague M, Natalia M and our School Chaplain Liz Spicer, attended the Indigenous Reconciliation Dinner at the Kyabram Anglican Church. Pictured is indigenous artwork created by Teague M and Natalia M. Teague M is also the recipient of a Koori scholarship at Kyabram P-12 College.
Second photo pictured is Reverend Shannon Smith who shared her experiences with the community as being one of the first Aboriginal Anglican ministers and her experiences in this position and her wish for more reconciliation. Pictured with our School Chaplain Liz Spicer O.A.M. and Adrian Miller who was playing fantastic tunes for the evening. It was very informative and gave us a better insight to the experiences of Rev. Shannon and aboriginal people located in N.S.W and Victoria. It was a great night of fellowship. - Liz Spicer.
