Headspace Podcast Challenge

On Monday 6 May, a group of VCE VM students travelled to Echuca to partake in the Headspace Podcast Challenge. Over the course of Term 1 and 2, the students worked closely with Headspace, Shane Roberts from VicPol and Grace Jackson Kightly from Kyabram P-12 College to develop a podcast that highlights the impacts of bullying in our community.

During the morning, the students were involved in an interactive educational session with Ralph from Making Media and learnt how to create an engaging podcast and how to use the equipment. After lunch the students recorded their podcast. The students represented our college with pride and have developed an informative resource to highlight the impacts of bullying.

Seven other schools have also worked with Headspace, all focussing on a different issue impacting young people in our community. The podcast will be released at the beginning of Term 3 and the school that has the highest number of views by the end of Term 3 will receive a full podcast set up for their school. Keep your eyes on our socials and give the podcast a listen.
