Auslan Update

P-2

As we near the conclusion of Semester 1, we're thrilled to share the strides our students have made in exploring the fascinating world of animals and understanding their features. Through engaging lessons, they've demonstrated remarkable insight into the comparison between animal bodies and their own and how to show them using their body as a base. As we close out this term, our students have also had the opportunity to enjoy some exciting new games. We're immensely proud of those chosen to lead the national anthem during assemblies—a testament to their leadership and commitment. Let's keep the momentum going as we eagerly anticipate Semester 2, brimming with fresh topics and endless opportunities for growth and discovery. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our students' education.

Year 7

What an eventful period it has been! Our students have truly excelled with their assessments, and they did so with a unique twist. Recently, our Year 7s had the pleasure of reconnecting with their Year 5 friends. The Year 7s joined forces with the 5/6 cohort to film their Unit 2 Assessment- rainbow challenge. Witnessing their enthusiasm and involvement during the filming process was truly heart-warming. As we transition into reporting time, our students are gearing up to delve into the rich tapestry of Deaf culture and its significance within the Deaf community. Well done on Semester 1.

Kind regards,
