A special mention to the following people who celebrate their birthday.

GOOD FOR KIDS SMOOTHIE BIKE 

On Wednesday 29th May the Good for Kids team will visit Sacred Heart with their Smoothie Bike.

You may ask, what are the benefits of a smoothie bike?

Students will have the opportunity to pedal the smoothie bike which will have a blending jug attached to it. The ingredients goes into the blender jug and after 30 seconds of pedaling the cyclist is rewarded with a healthy, nutritious drink. The exercise lifts the participants mood, reminding a sedentary person that raising their heart rate makes them feel good.

TREE PLANTING WITH BOGGABRI COAL

Boggabri Coal’s Environment and Community team have organised a tree planting day with Sacred Heart students and Boggabri Public students attending. This will be held on Friday 31st May at 'The Rock', Kamilaroi Highway. This is a great opportunity to teach the Boggabri students about the local native vegetation and to encourage students to think about the environment. Boggabri Coal will be supplying a 'COOL' pack for each student. On Thursday, students will receive a polo shirt to take home so that they can wear it to school on Friday. If students have gloves and work boots they are asked to bring them to school on Friday (not to be worn to school). If your child does not own work boots, please do not go and purchase them especially, just wear old joggers. 

The students will travel by bus arriving at approximately 11:30am. They will be provided with a BBQ lunch and then participate in the tree planting. They will then be transported back to school in time for the end of the day hometime.
