Health and Human Development- Parent & Child Information Evening with Sue Pain 

On Thursday 9th October we welcome Sue Pain from 'About Real Life' to work with students and parents from Year 3 to Year 6. 

 

There will be 2 sessions:

  • Year 3/4 parents and children: 6:00pm-6:50pm 
  • Year 5/6 parents and children 7:00pm-8:00pm 

These workshops align with the Health and Physical Education Curriculum and are presented by Sue Pain from "About Real Life', sue@aboutreal.life

 

The following topics will be covered in the Year 3/4 presentation:

- families- conversations and similarities/differences and family interactions

- bodies- discussion of similarities and difference, identify correct terminology for female body parts

- privacy and safety

- babies- foetal development and birth 

 

The following topics will be covered in Year 5/6:

- Puberty- impact of hormones, general physical and gender specific physical changes, emotional/social changes, effects on relationships

- Privacy, safety and online awareness

- reproduction 

 

We look forward to seeing Grade 3-6 parents on the 9th October.
