From the Acting Principal

Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of Term 3? This term has absolutely flown by, filled with a wonderful variety of events and learning opportunities for our students. From swimming lessons, Book Week, and Japanese Day to production rehearsals, the children have been actively engaged and enthusiastic participants. They’ve shown great energy, perseverance and curiosity, while continuing to build on their learning throughout the term.

I’ll be on long service leave for the first three weeks of Term 4, as I head off on a long-awaited trip to Japan with my son. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to explore a different country and culture, and more importantly, to enjoy some special quality time together.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff, students, and school community for their continued support, particularly during Declan’s leave. Term 4 begins Monday 6th October, and Declan will be back at the helm.

Division Athletics:

Congratulations to Avery (4th place in the 800m), Eliza (2nd place in Triple Jump), Grayson (3rd place in both the 200m and Discus), Payton (3rd place in Long Jump and 5th place in Discus), and Violet (4th place in the 1500m), who represented our school at the Division Athletics Competition yesterday. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, sportsmanship, and effort in reaching this level of competition. What a fantastic achievement!

Eliza has made it through to the Regional Finals held in late October. Bravo Eliza, we will all be cheering for you!

Team Colours Day:

To celebrate the end of term, students are invited to wear their team clothing or colours to school tomorrow. This may be for their favourite footy, soccer, rugby, netball, hockey, or any other team they follow and support. Extra play time for any students who wear black & white!

School Production - Kackawackadoo Bay:

A reminder that the school production, Kackawackadoo Bay, will be held on Thursday 30th October. More details regarding tickets will be shared early next term.

MACSSIS School Improvement Survey:

Families should have received an email from Mr Mc in late August with details on how to access the St Thomas More MACSSIS School Improvement Survey for 2025. It is due to close tomorrow. Thank you to the families who have completed this already. Don't forget to reply to Mr Mc's email to go into the draw for a $50 Coles Myer voucher.

New Mass Times:

Our new parish priest, Fr Thomas, would like to share with our Parish community the new Mass times starting the first week of October.

Wishing you all a restful break during the school holidays.
