News from our Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As Term 3 comes to a close and I look back at how much learning has happened in the last ten weeks I am reminded of the enormous energy and spirit of commitment that exists here. The teachers and students have continually shown enthusiasm and curiosity towards  their teaching and learning and as a result many of the students are making enormous growth. As I wander the playground, visit classrooms and talk to the students I am constantly impressed by their positive mindset, respectful ways and perseverance. Well done everyone!

This week it was the feast of Our Lady of Mercy (24th September). Catherine McAuley had a great devotion to Our Lady and began the order of the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin in 1831. Our school is a proud Mercy school (which means it was established by the Sisters of Mercy)  and we live out our chosen mercy values in our everyday interactions with each other by being people of welcome, respect, compassion, excellence, justice and service. We are thankful for the wonderful work done by Catherine McAuley all those years ago, and pray for all the Sisters of Mercy around the world.

Enjoy the holiday period with your families and the delightful weather that this time of year brings. Rest up and I look forward with renewed energy to what Term 4 may bring!
