Term 3 VM/VPC Personal Development

We have been lucky enough to have Terri Hateley from Head Start visit Edenhope College to work with our VM and VPC class.

Head Start is a program that supports students in Years 10-12 to participate in a school-based apprenticeship and traineeship (SBAT) program to develop skills, capabilities and confidence that employers in growth industries need.

The students have focused on resumes, cover letters, identifying skills, goal setting and confidence building including communication, eye contact and body language. Students attended Horsham for industry tours and reflections.

Students have participated in activities that have incorporated the above to prepare for identifying their chosen industry and to participate in mock interviews.

Students have been exposed to real life examples to be job ready, build real-life skills and be prepared for "adulting" (understanding their values and what’s important to them as they grow older) and to prepare them for adult life.
