Inquiry Centre

Highlight
Selamat Siang,
This week was full of finishing off and celebrating our learning in the Inquiry Centre. Students worked hard to become published authors of picture story books which we read to Foundation students. This combined our work in Writing focused on the structure of narratives and sentence structure as well as our Reading unit on Visual Literacy and allowed students to apply their understanding. We hope you had a chance to read their fantastic stories!
In Maths, we enjoyed revisiting and reviewing some of the Maths concepts we have covered throughout the year by playing games that build fluency and understanding in addition, subtraction and multiplication. It's great to see students continue to develop their recall of number facts through these tasks.
Throughout this term for Guided Inquiry, students learned about the different things that contribute to a healthy body, mind and world. Each week, they worked on consolidating and sharing their understanding of different areas such as safety, different kinds of foods, sustainability, inner coach/growth mindset, mindfulness strategies and celebrations by making a page for a calendar. This was a great exercise in perseverance, time management and determination - after a whole term they are finally finished and ready for you to use in 2026!
What a wonderful term of learning. We are so proud of each student! Wishing all families a lovely break and we will see you in Term 4!
