Year 5/6 Sustainability Excursion

Yesterday our 5/6 students headed to the city for a 'Sustainability Walk'. This excursion was related to their Inquiry Unit on 'Sustainablity: Think Global, Act Local'. A very enjoyable and fun day of learning for our 5/6 students!

Prep Literacy Learning

What a fun way to respond to literature in Prep! Students read the story 'I got this hat' with their teacher and created their very own hats! This is a great way to develop comprehension and build a deep understanding of what they have read.

GATEWAYS Program

A few weeks ago, two of our Year 3 wonderful students, Isabelle and William, attended the GATEWAYS Language and Literature Learning Program at St Charles Borromeo in Templestowe.

They are both keen to share their reflections about what they experienced in this program:

Term 3 GATEWAYS Program

If you are interested in your child participating in the GATEWAYS program please do not hesitate to come and see me or your child's teacher.  Gateways is an out of school extension program that incurs an additional cost. The program for next term has a Mathematics and Inquiry focus.

Winter Gala

Last week our Year 5/6 students attended the Winter Gala. This is a sporting event where the students participated in team sports and games against other schools. This Winter Gala comprised of netball, T-ball and soccer. All teams represented our school as great sports, wearing the Trinity uniform with pride.  They enjoyed this competitive event and we congratulate them all on their best effort! Our mixed netball team will now go through to the next round of the competition. Congratulations to our netballers!

Staying in touch...

Wishing you all a wonderful break over the holidays. We look forward to seeing you again in Term 3 for another great term of learning. If at any time you would like to chat about the learning at Trinity, or you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning, please do not hesitate to see your child's teacher, or myself.
