GYMNASTICS - YEARS THREE-SIX

For three weeks, students in Years Three to Six have enjoyed taking part in Gymnastics sessions run by Ballarat Gymsports. Students have revisited how to roll, balance and land correctly with the assistance of trained Gymnastics Coaches. It was so wonderful to see all of our amazing equipment being used in such a valuable and safe way. Well done to all students for doing their very best!

Eureka Division Soccer Tournament

On Friday 24th May, 13 MRPS students ventured excitedly to Morshead Park to participate in the Eureka Division Soccer Tournament. 

We were scheduled to play 3 games across day, there was 6 pools of teams, which meant lot of soccer to be played across the day. 

First up we played against the Wathaurong District, we scored first thanks to a great goal from Eli. Late in the second half Wathaurong levelled the scores and we played out an entertaining draw. 

Our next match saw us up against a skilled and determined Mt Blowhard side who were comfortable winners. Lastly, we played Our Lady Help of Christians, in a back and forth contest and battle of stamina OLHC came out on top by 2 goals. 

We had a range of experienced and new players to the game in our side who tried their best in each match across the day, which is all you can ask for. The team improved in each game, players got to play in new positions, and we learnt the value of being a good team person. Thanks to all the parents who came along to support on the day.
