ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8:30am for a Traditional Service and 10:00am for a more Contemporary service with Godly Play on offer for primary school aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services. On the first Sunday of the month, we join together in one service, with a blended style of worship.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on each Tuesday during term time in the Hall for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver.  Playgroup runs from 9:00-10:30am, but we welcome people anytime from 8:30am onwards to help set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9:00-10:30am each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.

This week, we made bear crafts using twine, pom poms and googly eyes at the craft table and found the bears hiding in the shaving cream in the sensory play space.

Playgroup is now on a break for the school holidays and will return on Tuesday 23 July.

For more information about anything playgroup related, contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

The Bible contains a collection of Psalms which is the hymn and prayer book of the Bible.  The assigned Psalm for this week is Psalm 30, a song of praise, celebrating how God turns mourning into dancing and how his transforming works bring our lives into praise of Him.

Here is The Message translation of Psalm 30:

I give you all the credit, God—you got me out of that mess, you didn’t let my foes gloat.

God, my God, I yelled for help and you put me together.God, you pulled me out of the grave, gave me another chance at life when I was down-and-out.

All you saints! Sing your hearts out to God! Thank him to his face!He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.

When things were going great I crowed, “I’ve got it made.I’m God’s favourite.  He made me king of the mountain.”Then you looked the other way and I fell to pieces.

I called out to you, God; I laid my case before you:“Can you sell me for a profit when I’m dead? auction me off at a cemetery yard sale? When I’m ‘dust to dust’ my song and stories of you won’t sell.So listen! and be kind!  Help me out of this!”

You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers.I’m about to burst with song; I can’t keep quiet about you.God, my God, I can’t thank you enough.

Mealtime Prayer: With this food you make us strong.  To you our life and love belong.

Thanks be to you, O God! Amen.

Prayer: Lord God, thank you that your mercy is new every day. Your endless love is

amazing. Amen.

Blessing: (Child’s name) May the Lord Jesus give you faith when you are afraid and

peace when you are suffering.  Amen.
