Accounts Officer

Mount Evelyn Christian School has a full-time position available for an Accounts Officer, commencing immediately. This is a full time 1.0 FTE position over 5 days a week.

We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated Accounts Officer to join our finance team. 

The primary task of the Accounts Officer is to administer and coordinate the effective and efficient operations of the accounts receivable and other finance processes. A full job description and application process is found on the MECS website.

Contemporary/Jazz Piano Teacher

Mount Evelyn Christian School is seeking an experienced, passionate, enthusiastic and skilled piano teacher commencing as soon as possible. This is a fixed contract until the end of the 2024 school year and could suit a new graduate or an experienced teacher.

The applicant should be suitably qualified, have previous experience in a similar role and teach in a way that keeps students motivated and well organised. They must be able to teach piano in the genre of contemporary music, including jazz, improvisation, modern worship and other popular modern music genres. The successful applicant will be able to teach notation, theory and chord charts.

Secondary Learning Assistant

Mount Evelyn Christian School has a part-time position (0.5 – 0.85 FTE) available for a Learning Assistant (Teacher’s Aide) in our Secondary School, commencing immediately.

 

MECS is looking for a Learning Assistant to join the growing Learning Support team in the Senior Secondary section of MECS. The role is to support one or two identified students in the Vocational Majors program (formerly VCAL) 3 days per week. The ability to build effective relationships is vital in this role, and some knowledge and/or experience of supporting students living with autism would be helpful. There is possibility for extension of employment to 5 days a week, supporting other students in the Secondary School.

Casual Relief Teachers and Potential Short-Term Contracts in Term 3, 2024

Mount Evelyn Christian School is seeking applicants for Casual Relief Teachers to cover Secondary School. Casual Relief Teachers are generally engaged at short notice, usually for a half-day or full day, and occasionally several days at a time. New graduates and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

 

There is also the potential of requiring short-term contracts in Maths, English, Humanities and Learning Intervention throughout the remainder of the year. We would love to hear from dedicated teachers interested in these roles also.

 

Mount Evelyn Christian School provides Christ-centred schooling with learning experiences that challenge each student to actively live for God in His world, while partnering with Christian parents in the nurture of their children. We would like the successful teachers to wholeheartedly join a team implementing a distinctively biblical approach to education.
