Across Campus

Each year since 1945, the CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) has brought children/teenagers and books together through CBCA Book Week.  During this time, schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.  This celebration is held in August.  However, now is the time to read the shortlisted books for the Book of the Year awards. The awards for Book of the Year in the Older and Younger Reader categories are always eagerly anticipated and the books this year short listed have been fantastic.  Please see images for the shortlist.  The season of Winter has been embraced and celebrated in the MRC.  Ms Salvo has once again dazzled us with fantastic displays of all things “Winter” and “Snuggle up with a good book” recommendations.  The MRC is like a warm hug, a place to escape the cold!
