HPE

Athletics Carnival 

Our annual Track and Field Carnival is being held on the Thursday the 18 and Friday the 19 July. The Thursday events are for Years 7-9 students only, followed up by the full school event on Friday. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their athletic abilities and score some points for their house. Students will be given more information about these events in Connect Class early next term. 

The following pre-day events are being ran prior to the carnival date, we encourage students to express interests in these at the Sports Hall HPE staffroom. 

• 1500m race 
• Discus
• Javelin 

The following events are high risk events and therefore will require a certificate of competence to be completed, please collect this from the Sports Hall HPE staffroom. 

• Discus 
• Javelin 
• High jump – Fosbury Flop 

We look forward to seeing which house will be victorious in 2024! 

Mountain Biking

Last Friday our Mountain Bikers travelled to Toowoomba to compete in the Rocky Trail Academy Brisbane School Mountain Biking competition. This was a fun filled day and it was great to see our riders showcasing their skills. Thank you to all the students who participated for showcasing excellent school spirit and sportsmanship. The fun is far from over, with our next Mountain Biking expedition happening late August in Ipswich. 

Futsal 

This week three of our futsal teams competed at the State Titles. The under 13s girls, under 15 girls and under 15 boys have worked hard to progress through the regional competitions and reach the final stage. We are super proud of all these students and the team work and sporting skills they have shown through this competition. 

Our teams will be finishing their games as we go to print, we look forward to sharing these results next term.
