Seeds for Success

Over the last two weeks, our students have been hard at work completing their bee hotels. They have also planted native species, weeded garden beds, and watered the new plants, taking real pride in creating a healthy space for our local environment. The students were very happy with their finished products and showed great teamwork throughout the project.
We would like to thank Mitch Jones for his amazing contributions to our school and for generously volunteering his time to guide us in building this new mini-ecosystem. His support has helped our students learn hands-on skills while also understanding the importance of caring for our environment.
Australia is home to over 1,700 species of native bees. Most native bees do not sting, and many are stingless, making them safe and gentle garden visitors. These bees play a crucial role in pollinating native plants, helping our local ecosystem thrive.
