St Mary's Community Carols: Get Ready to Celebrate!
Our whole school community is warmly invited to join us for St Mary’s Carols Night on Tuesday 9th December at 5:00pm held at St Mary’s College.
Come along for an evening filled with music, joy and Christmas spirit as our students lead us in song and help us welcome the season of hope. Bring your voices, your festive cheer and your family we can’t wait to celebrate together!
To assist with the smooth running of the carols, families are warmly invited to continue the festive cheer by picnicking in Alma Park following the conclusion of the carols.


Swimming Program Update
Well done to all the swimmers who are nearing the end of the first week of swimming. Thank you to the helpers of various kinds from turning around clothes and swim-bags to helping our Preps everyone has pitched in to make Week 1 a huge success.
Swimable Lesson Schedule for Week 10:
Mon 8th, (no lesson on Tuesday), Wed 10th, Thu 11th (Water Safety Day)
Water Safety Day Thursday 11 December: From Swimable:
All students to pack and then change into a casual T-shirt (and pants if they are comfortable) over their bathers. These items will get wet as part of the program. Students will then change back into their school uniform. Please pack an extra plastic/wet bag for wet clothes.
Swimming Carnival - Friday 12th December (run by St Mary's Primary School at the St Mary's College Pool) read below for more detailed information:
For the swimming program and the carnival, students are required to bring the following to school:
- Bathers (to be worn to school under school uniform)
- A swimming cap (swimming caps must be worn to participate in lessons)
- Underwear to change into after the lesson
- A towel
- Thongs / flip flops
- Goggles (recommended)
- A carry bag for all items, separate to school bag


Swimming Carnival
Friday 12 December 2025 - St Mary’s College Pool
We are looking forward to our inaugural House Swimming Carnival next Friday. The aim is to HAVE FUN and get wet!
Volunteers: Thank you to those who have already popped their hand up to help. We still need more help stay dry and officiate or marshal on the day please! Email or Seesaw me with your availability please!
Families: Are warmly invited to attend the carnival we will ask families to stand on the Westbury street side of the pool and students will be on the opposite side. We kindly ask that parents do not “cross the floor” parent volunteers will all be wearing hi-vis and have jobs to do.
CARNIVAL SCHEDULES
SENIOR (Yr 3-6) CARNIVAL:
Year 3-6 students will walk to the pool from School at approximately 9.10am
All times are approximate:
9.25am Marshalling begins
9.30am 25m Freestyle
9.55am 25m Kickboard
10.20am 25m Backstroke
10.35am 25m Breaststroke
10.55am 25m Noodle
11.15am 50m Freestyle
11:30am Snack Break
11.45am 25m Freestyle Relay (Yr 3-6 mixed relay)
11:55am 25m Noodle Relay (Yr 3-6 mixed relay)
12:05pm Senior Carnival ends - Students depart
JUNIOR (Yr P-2) CARNIVAL:
Year P-2 students will walk to the pool from School at approximately 11:30am and watch the Senior Relays before their carnival.
12.15pm 25m Freestyle (Yr 2)
12.25pm Noodle race (Yr 2)
12.40pm Noodle race (Y1)
12.55pm Noodle race (Prep)
1.10pm The Great Plate Race (Year 1s and 2s)

St VInnie’s Christmas Hampers


Thank you to all our St Mary’s families for your generous donations towards the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers. Your kindness and willingness to support those in need helps bring hope and dignity to local families doing it tough at this time of year. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing compassion and community spirit.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 6 students who generously wrapped presents for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers this week. Their care, teamwork and joyful spirit will help bring a little extra hope and kindness to families in our community this Christmas. We are so proud of their leadership and the way they continue to live out our school values in action.

As previously advised, a reminder that, going forward, all student reports will be available exclusively through the nForma Parent App. Hard copies will not be sent home.
To ensure you can access your child’s report, please download the nForma Parent App from the App Store or Google Play and log in using the email address registered with the school.
Please note the setting up your account information in the attached document.

OPEROO ceasing operation at the end of 2025
Please note that, as Operoo is ceasing to operate in Australia at the end of the year, that we will be using more of nForma's functionality, including for permission forms from now on.
We will be working with both Operoo and nForma to migrate data and also to receive assurance of data deletion from Operoo at the end of the transition process.
The Year 6 Day Out permission form went out today - so Year 6 families please look out of the Parent App for this new form.
Interactive Panels arriving at St Mary's!


Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle and the recent Family Fun Day, we are delighted to announce that three 75" Interactive Panels have been purchased and are being installed today by Building Wizard Steve into the Prep, 1 and 2 classrooms.
The board have electric height-adjustable mounts which is perfect for our junior learners.
We anticipate the that four additional panels can be purchased and rolled out into remaining classrooms in the early part of next year.
Thank you to our wonderful community for getting behind this important project! We look forward to working with IQ Boards for staff professional development to get the most out of this new technology.
