Middle School Wrap Up

Years 7 & 8

It's been a big year in Middle School, our Year 7's have finished their first year of high school and our Year 8's are ready to transition up into Senior School.

We have seen all our student's flourish into competent learners and thrive in their friendship groups. The Year 7’s have had a year of many first, from Camp to music sessions, Production and inter school sports. They have built great connections with their peers, teachers and wider school community and we are excited to see what they can achieve next year. The Year 8’s have taken some big steps in their learning and experienced their first ever subject selection day, along with other key events such as Challenge Week.

Last Friday, 12 December, the Year 7 & 8 students participated in a transition day to help set them up for success in 2026. They completed a series of rotation activities where they wrote a letter to their future self, built some skills in being resilient, team building, English workshops and, for the Year 8’s, a careers session. All students were treated to a sausage sizzle and Zooper Dooper for lunch to help celebrate the end of 2025.

During period 4, the Middle School team held an assembly to celebrate the success of the students in Year 7 & 8 and recognise those students who went above and beyond in their behaviour and learning in 2025. Despite some technical difficulties and the heat, all students were incredible throughout and even had time for a quick round of trivia to end the day.

Congratulations to the following Year 7 and 8 students who achieved 100% attendance in Semester 2 and 100% attendance for the 2025 school year.

We also celebrated the students from each homegroup who received the most Green Posts in Semester 2. These students have gone above and beyond in their learning and behaviour and deserved to be recognised in front of their peers.

The assembly was an opportunity to recognise the Year 7 & 8 Captains of 2025: Juliette Leitch & Leo Nacevski (Year 7), and Elizabeth Robertson & Luka Baron (Year 8). We thank them for their hard work in 2025 helping to organise and run homegroup competitions and fostering connections amongst their peers.
