P&C News

Wrapping Up a Wonderful Year with Roselea PS P&C!
As we move towards the end of the year, it’s a perfect time to pause and reflect. Whether this season feels like a chance to unwind and relax or a moment for renewed energy, it’s always a special time of year for our P&C community.
Our P&C has had an incredibly productive and rewarding year, working alongside our amazing families, students, and staff to make Roselea an even better place to learn and grow. From organising exciting events like the Trivia Night, Stalls, Easter Raffle, Discos and Colour Fun Run, to making upgrades around the school like our Nature's Nook, coordinating community engagement initiatives like our welcome BBQ at Meet the Teacher Night and World Teachers' Day initiatives, providing ongoing support for our classrooms through funding technology improvements for every student at Roselea, offering programs like band and after school dance and running our Canteen and Uniform Shop — it’s been a year full of teamwork, generosity, and positive impact. Something for all members to be really PROUD of!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated, attended events, or supported our efforts in any way. Every contribution, big or small, helps us drive meaningful change for our students.
So, thank you for helping us finish the year strong as we look forward to another fantastic year ahead!

P&C Annual General Meeting
Our P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday, 24th November at 7:30pm (in person) in the school Library. We warmly encourage all parents and carers to come along.
The AGM is an important part of our P&C year. It provides an opportunity to:
- Present a summary of our achievements and activities over the past year
- Report on our financial position
Elect our P&C Executive for the upcoming year
Being part of the P&C is a wonderful way to support our school, strengthen community connections, and contribute to initiatives that directly benefit Roselea students.
Executive Positions Open for Nomination at the AGM
⭐ President: Leads the P&C, chairs meetings, works closely with the school, and supports subcommittees to ensure smooth operations.
⭐ Vice President – General: Assists the President, steps in when required, and oversees areas such as community engagement and general P&C initiatives.
⭐ Vice President – Band: Supports the Band Program by liaising between the Band Committee, P&C, and school, and assists with program coordination as needed.
⭐ Secretary: Manages meeting agendas and minutes, handles official correspondence, and ensures communication is maintained per P&C Federation Guidelines.
⭐ Treasurer: Oversees P&C finances, prepares financial reports, manages budgets, and ensures proper financial processes are followed.
Voting Rights at the AGM
All members of the school community are welcome to attend the AGM. However, voting rights are governed by P&C Federation rules:
To vote on motions or in the election of P&C Executive positions, you must have become a financial member prior to the last general meeting, which was held on 27th October 2025.
Anyone is welcome to join as a member at any time, but new members joining after the October 2025 meeting are not eligible to vote at this AGM.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the AGM and continuing to work together to support Roselea Public School.
If you’re interested in getting involved or learning more about any of the executive roles, please reach out to roseleapspandc@gmail.com — we’d love to hear from you!
Safety & Style: New Basketball/Netball Pole Pads Installed
A big thank you to Sarah K for proposing the new basketball pole pads for our new COLA area. We’re pleased to share that this initiative was voted on and approved by our P&C in the August 2025 meeting, and the pads have now been installed thanks to Mr. Broome, the school's GA— giving our COLA a wonderful fresh and cohesive look!
Initiatives funded by the P&C like this helps make our school safer, brighter, and even more welcoming for our students.
CHAT Group Update – Busy Behind the Scenes!
It’s been a big week behind the scenes for our P&C! A huge thank you to Sally H, Jop P and Sara G for all their hard work sorting and organising the much-anticipated prizes that students earned through their Colour Fun Run fundraising. These prizes were delivered last week on Friday, ready to bring lots of smiles!

Book Club
The final issue of Book Club for 2025 is out now. Issue 8 will close on the 25th of November, with delivery expected late week 8. It's a great opportunity to stock up on some Chrissy presents or school holiday reading.
This year your support of Book Club so far has enabled the library to purchase over $550 worth of books. With each book you purchase, 15% of the purchase price is allocated back to the school to buy books and resources. We thank you for your continued support.
