Principal's Message
Mrs Kylie Bryant - Principal
Welcome to week 6, and I am excited to announce that our new school website is now live. I would like to thank Mr Chong for the countless hours he has put in to building our website. I encourage you all to take a moment to pop over and check it out. There is a wealth of information and we are proud to share some of the amazing things we are doing. We would love your feedback and any suggestions on what else might be of use for our community.
Last week I had the final Class Parent meeting for the year. I would like to thank this amazing group of parents who have kept us all on track and up to date. In our meeting last week, we spent time evaluating the class parent program, reflecting on 2025 and hearing their thoughts on next steps for 2026. In week 7, we will send out a parent survey to gather feedback from all parents on the year. I encourage you all to take some time to share your thoughts and ideas.
Next week I will be hosting the Annual General Meeting for the P&C. This meeting will take place in the school library from 7:30pm. All parents and community members are welcome to attend. Please know that in order to vote you must have already been a financial member by the end of the last meeting. I look forward to seeing a great turnout as the P&C begins preparing for the year ahead.
On Wednesday, 26 November, we are launching Genius Hour, which is a project-based program that will run for three weeks on Wednesday afternoons. We are excited for teachers to share their areas of expertise and passion with the students as we share our love for learning. These projects will create opportunities for critical thinking, creativity and ownership. There is a range of activities occurring from golf, to drawing, environmental sustainability, design and make, board games, and so much more. Make sure you check in with your child to discuss the exciting activity they participated in.
We currently have a number of students who are regularly arriving late to school. It is important that your child is at school by 9am every day. This ensures that:
· students do not miss out on important learning activities scheduled early in the day
· students learn the importance of punctuality and routine
· give students time to greet their friends before class
· reduces classroom disruption
We understand that sometimes things happen and that you may not be able to make 9am. In the instance that your child is late your child must:
1. Attend the school office
2. Provide a reason for arriving late to school
3. Collect a late note from the office
4. Hand the late note to their classroom teacher when arriving at class.
Please do not send your child to class while you collect the late note, they must accompany you to the office. Any student who arrives to class late without a late note will be sent to the office to collect one and will be marked as present by the office staff. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
