Foundation students are learning about the Moon Festival and its traditions. They used moulds to create their own mooncakes. They are also exploring the Chinese Zodiac through the story 'The Great Race', and have learned the names of the twelve zodiac animals through songs, crafts, and other interactive activities.
Year 1/2 students are exploring the topic 'My Family'. They are learning to say the names of family members, introduce who is in their family, and talk about how many people live in their household. Students made a foldable house and wrote sentences in Mandarin to introduce the members of their family.
Year 3/4 students are learning the topic, 'My House and Room'. They are developing vocabulary to identify different rooms in a house and common furniture items, using positional words to describe where objects are located. Students are practising building simple sentences to describe their own room or house, as well as asking and answering questions about what is inside.
Year 5/6 students are learning about healthy living. They are exploring vocabulary and sentence structures to discuss healthy and unhealthy habits, food choices, exercise routines, and daily activities. Students are learning to describe what they eat and drink, the sports and activities they do, and how to give simple advice about staying healthy. They created their own 'healthy plate' and wrote a paragraph to discuss their personal healthy living habits.
