Thank you for being part of our school community and for everything you do to help us give students the very best start.
Brighton Beach Primary School is excited to welcome you to another year of inspiring teaching and learning. As we prepare for 2026, we would like to share information about BBPS’s voluntary financial contributions.
Our school provides free instruction to meet all standard curriculum requirements, and we want to reassure you that these contributions are voluntary. We deeply appreciate the many ways families support our school—whether through fundraising, volunteering, or contributions—which together help us create the best possible learning environment for every student.
Thanks to this collective support, we’ve been able to:
*Complete a much-needed upgrade across all Collaborative Learning Centres by replacing rotten wooden doors in all classrooms with sleek modern glass doors, and fly screens with new durable screens.
*Fresh greenery has been planted along the fence on West, and an automatic sprinkler system added to keep it thriving. These improvements make the space greener, more inviting, and better for students’ wellbeing.
*Offer a broader range of subjects and special curriculum experiences; enhance digital learning opportunities; upgrade our library.
*Your contributions funded corridor upgrades in the main building. Areas were repainted for a brighter, cleaner look. This also included the replacement of the original decorative dado rail in keeping with the historic style and the practicality of wall protection. Improvements create a more welcoming space for students and staff in our heritage listed Orphanage School.
* This also involved the transformation of our learning environment by refurbishing several damaged and leaking original classroom spaces. This vital upgrade included the creation of a brand-new Year 1 classroom, a welcoming community room available for meetings and facility hire. Next on the list is a dedicated “What I need [Win] room—a quiet, supportive space designed for students who need a moment to reset and recharge. This remains the one room that is still in need of an upgrade as part of this project. The list is never ending as we plan to tackle the Exon playing surface and a repaint and upgrade of the school hall.
* We’ve upgraded the garden beds, reactivated our water tanks to support the automatic sprinkler system, and rejuvenated the stage area at reception.
These continual improvements are all student centred and enable us to provide opportunities beyond the basics.
