Letter to Family and Friends

The Greatest Gift of All

Dear Families,

Christmas morning in our home is always filled with joy, noise, and a flurry of wrapping paper. With four children, the excitement begins before the sun even rises. There’s that unmistakable sound of whispered footsteps, the wide-eyed wonder as they see the tree again, and then—the moment their hands touch the first present.

Watching my children open their gifts is a yearly reminder of pure delight. Each child approaches it differently: one tears into the wrapping without hesitation, another carefully peels each piece of tape, one jumps with excitement before even seeing what’s inside, and another pauses with anticipation, soaking in the moment. Yet despite their differences, all four share the same expressions of surprise, gratitude, and joy when the gift is finally revealed.

These moments remind me of the true heart of Christmas—not the presents themselves, but what they represent. As parents, we give gifts to our children out of love. We long to see them smile, to bless them, to create memories they’ll carry into adulthood.

In a far greater way, Christmas points us to the extraordinary gift God has given us through Jesus. Just as my children eagerly receive their presents, God invites each of us to open His gift—the forgiveness of sins and a restored relationship with Him through His Son.

The birth of Jesus is God’s declaration of love to the world. God did not give us something from Him—He gave us Himself. Jesus came to live among us, to show us God’s heart, and ultimately to offer His life so that we could be made new. This gift is not wrapped in festive paper, but in grace. It brings not temporary excitement, but everlasting hope.

And like any gift, it must be received. The joy on my children’s faces when they discover what’s inside their presents is just a glimpse of the joy available to us when we accept what God freely gives—mercy, peace, and the assurance that we are deeply loved.

So, as we celebrate this Christmas season, may the laughter of children, the giving and receiving of gifts, and the warmth of family remind us of the greatest gift ever given. May we unwrap, with grateful hearts, the life-changing gift of Jesus.

Thank you again for your support and partnership with our staff team this year. We have a unique and special community that enfolds and loves our children.

May you and your family experience His peace, joy, and presence this Christmas and into the year ahead.

Blessings,
