Student Leadership

A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL CAPTAINS

2025 has been an incredible year to be School Captains. Whether it has been running assemblies or helping with tours, it has been such a privilege to get to work as leaders of the school.  It has been delightful to become role models to other students, as being school captains has taught us things that we wouldn’t have known unless we were elected.

This year I have learnt many things, not just to do with others but a lot about myself. At the beginning of this year, at times I struggled with public speaking. Throughout the year, however, I worked on it without fully realising. Because of assemblies and school tours, I grew a newfound confidence that I will carry with me throughout my high school years. All of this has taught me to become a good listener to anyone who needs the support and to always remain respectful to others.

Getting to be a school captain this year has been an incredible privilege, which has taught me many things. Like how to be a leader and helping others. I love getting to help around the school and because of this I now want to get amazing roles like this in high school. As well as being a school captain, I have become a bigger role model to everyone at Ripponlea, which is definitely a way better privilege than the role itself because it means I can help everyone.

We are so grateful for getting to have this opportunity, to get to help all students and we wish next year’s School Captains the best of luck in 2026.

2026 RPS STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we introduce the upcoming student leaders at Riponlea Primary School. The 2026 student leadership elections have been a rigorous and transformative process.  As these aspiring young leaders step into the spotlight, they carry with them the weight of responsibilities, fueled by a passion to make a lasting impact on the RPS community.

The newly elected student leaders have had the privilege of observing and learning from their predecessors. Watching the previous leaders take on their roles with passion and commitment has undoubtedly influenced the aspirations of the incoming leaders. The legacy left behind by former student leaders serves as a source of inspiration, setting high standards for the current and future generations of leaders at RPS.

As we stand on the cusp of welcoming our 2026 student leadership team, we take this opportunity to sincerely thank our current student leaders for all they have contributed throughout the year.

From their special roles as buddies to their leadership across all areas of the school, our leaders have played an integral role in shaping our community. Their involvement in school events, community engagement, service initiatives, and their commitment to raising awareness of both global and local issues have made a meaningful and lasting impact.

They have led with care, responsibility and pride, and their positive influence will be felt well beyond their time in these roles. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and the example they have set for others to follow.
