Public Speaking - A wonderful celebration of student voice & confidence

Last Friday, a group of our students from Years 3,4 and 5 proudly took part in the final presentation of our Public Speaking Program, run in partnership with the Sandringham Lions Club.

Throughout the program, students worked closely with their teacher and representatives from the Lions Club to write, refine and rehearse speeches on topics they were passionate about. Public speaking offers many benefits, and our students had the opportunity to strengthen key skills such as clear and expressive communication, confident body language, strong eye contact, and the ability to organise their ideas into a compelling message.

Their hard work truly shone during Friday’s presentations. Each student spoke with confidence, clarity and poise, demonstrating not only their growth as communicators but also the pride they took in their work. They should be extremely proud of what they accomplished.

Following the presentations, our students, their families and guests enjoyed a lovely morning tea generously provided by the Sandringham Lions Club. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the students’ achievements and acknowledge their dedication over the past weeks.

Thank you to the Lions Club, our supportive families, and most importantly our talented students for making this year’s program such a success.
