Year 6 Stand Up Project

This year, as you might already know, the Year Six cohort had the choice to participate in the Stand Up Project. You might be asking what the Stand Up Project is? Well, it is a program where students go into younger grades classrooms and teach them about different types of bullying and how to stand up to it. We gave them scenarios to respond to and played fun games with the classes.
After three sessions with the grades, we quizzed them on their knowledge of the topic. We also gave the students a QR code that let them fill out a survey on what they thought of the program, what they liked and what could be improved. Last week, Liam, the coordinator of the program came in and we read the results together. It blew us away at how positive the responses were! So many kids loved the program and learnt a lot from it.
We hope when the younger students are in Grade 6 they will be interested in being part of the Stand Up Project too.
