We are so impressed with the performances at our Gold Street's Gold Talent auditions!

The school is a buzz with excitement with less than 2 weeks to go until “The Big Play Out”. Megan has been busy holding her breath under water as she prepares for her time in the dunk tank. Thank you to our wonderful community as our office staff, Ayla and Rita receive daily donations of chocolate, wine and secondhand toys, we are gladly accepting donations up until Friday. Wristbands can be purchased now.

If you can volunteer your time for even an hour, please sign up here

Once again, a huge thank-you to our students in Years 4-6 for their enthusiastic participation in our school production Ngulu-Nganjin. The experience showcased what is possible for our students in the performing arts and the students certainly shone on the stage. The performance concluded with a guest appearance from parent and artist, “Birdz” and his son and year 4 student Djali, making the finale a memorable experience for all. A special set of thank-you's also needs to be extended to Roz Girvan, Kate Denborough and Sophie Gammon who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the production the success it was. Their passion for Performing Arts , Music and Culture was transferred to our students, and I am sure this will be a highlight of our student’s primary school journey.

Last Tuesday Megan and I had the pleasure of spending the evening with year 2 students, Ella, Hattie and Eleanor for the “Party with the Principals”. The evening commenced with a pit stop for snacks before heading to Bounce for rock-climbing, high ropes and of course bouncing. Megan and I brushed up on our dodge ball skills, before heading for a game of laser tag, with Megan taking out the winning position. After dinner at sushi train and some frozen yoghurt we all headed home exhausted (the principals were more so than the students).

Thanks to these very keen rubbish collectors from 1DC. Ari, Phoenix, Billy and Sebby and unpictured Fergus, Stella and Lennox. Megan's chat about moosie wrappers on the ground really stuck with them it seems! They're shocked at how much rubbish they've been able to find.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the fair on Saturday November 22nd.

Susan Williamson-Petrie

Assistant Principal.
