Assistant Principal's report

Dear EPS Community,
Firstly, on a personal note, I would like to thank everyone for your kind words and support regarding my nomination for the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching. It was an incredible experience, and Michael and I were truly honoured to attend the ceremony in Canberra.

💛 Wellbeing at EPS
Our 2026 Wellbeing Team recently reviewed our programs and initiatives to ensure we continue meeting the evolving needs of our students.
Through regular student pulse checks and analysis of the Attitudes to School Survey, we’ll be introducing new wellbeing programs next year — all connected by our 2026 Wellbeing Throughline: Gratitude.
This theme will guide classroom practices, assemblies, and student leadership initiatives, helping students reflect, appreciate and connect more deeply with their learning and relationships.
💻 Digital Literacy – A Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum
As part of our ongoing commitment to preparing students for the future, staff have been collaborating during weekly professional learning to map out the key digital skills, apps and keyboard shortcuts that every EPS student should know by the end of Year 6.
This ensures every student leaves EPS as a confident, capable, safe and digitally literate learner.
Kindest,
Leanne
