Swimming Success

Well done to our 2/3 and 3/4 classes who participated in swimming lessons this week! Students showed wonderful perseverance and gave their best effort, whether experiencing swimming lessons for the first time or consolidating existing skills. We're particularly proud of how they embraced the challenge despite cooler than usual weather for November. Your positive attitudes were a credit to you all!

World Teachers' Day Celebration

A huge thank you to our class carers and families for organising and supporting a lovely morning tea to honour our teaching team for World Teachers' Day last Friday. We are truly blessed with an excellent teaching team, and your warm support and appreciation of them means so much to our whole school community.

Marine Discovery Centre Excursion

Year 3/4 students enjoyed an enriching excursion to the Marine Discovery Centre as part of their unit of inquiry last Friday. Students learned a great deal during this hands-on experience, and we were blessed with excellent weather on the day. Thank you to all staff and parent helpers who made this wonderful learning opportunity possible.

Children's University Graduates

Congratulations to all students graduating from Children's University this Friday! We are incredibly proud of the way you have engaged with such a broad range of activities throughout the year. This achievement is a wonderful recognition of your dedication and enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom.

P&F Fun Afternoon – This Sunday!

We're looking forward to our P&F Fun Afternoon this Sunday, 9th November, from 2pm-4pm on the oval. Please bring along your nibbles and beverages for a picnic on the oval. There will be games of cricket and basketball to play, providing a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together. We hope to see you there!

Community Events

Mark your calendars for these special occasions:

  • P&F Family Fun Afternoon – A chance to relax, play, and connect with other families in our school community
  • Middle of Term Breakfast – Start your day with us for a delicious breakfast and great company
  • Christmas Carols Concert – Join us for a joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus  with carols and performances
  • Thanksgiving/Closing Service – an opportunity to give thanks for our blessings and achievements this year and to recognise and honour the contribution of a number of our students, staff and families.

We're excited to welcome our new Foundation students for 2026! Transition activities will be taking place to help our newest learners feel comfortable and confident as they prepare to join our school family.

Term 4 truly is a celebration of everything that makes our school community special. We look forward to seeing you at these events and finishing the year on a high note together!

Class Carer Gift Collection

Each year, our wonderful Class Carers co-ordinate a small gift for each staff member on behalf of all families. This arrangement helps ease any pressure families might feel about giving an individual gift to their child's class teacher, while also seeking to reduce the financial burden that can come with the busy Christmas period when many families are managing additional expenses. Our class carers also ensure that all our valued staff members are acknowledged—including those who work behind the scenes such as our office staff and teacher aides. If you would like to make a voluntary contribution toward this year's staff gift, you can do so conveniently through Qkr! We appreciate your consideration, though please know that participation is entirely optional.

STEM and Music Classroom Upgrades

You may have noticed some construction work taking place around our STEM and Music classroom block adjacent to the main courtyard. We are currently undertaking some important remediation work to address moisture issues that developed over time.

The original pavers and fill underneath were installed too high against the building slab, which unfortunately caused moisture problems. Our current work involves drying out the slab completely, carrying out any necessary internal remediation in both classroom spaces, and then reinstalling the pavers at the correct lower level. This will prevent the same issue from occurring in the future and ensure these valuable learning spaces remain in excellent condition for our students.

We appreciate your patience during this improvement work and look forward to having these spaces fully operational again soon.

Volunteering in the School

We appreciate many families giving of their time and expertise to volunteer in the school, whether it be with our school canteen, P & F Events, school camps, GLOW Week or classroom assistance. A reminder to please ensure that your WWCC details are up to date, along with RAHN and VSC training. Further information on our volunteering requirements is available from our website.
