Italian Day

Our annual Italian Day is on Thursday 27th of November! During Italian Day our students will take part in a range of activities to celebrate the beautiful language and culture of Italy.

As part of the day students will enjoy pizza and gelato. Please bear in mind that the pizza and gelato are a snack only and children will also need their lunch. We will be providing dairy-free and gluten-free options, but if you have any concerns regarding allergies please speak to your child’s contact teacher or myself.

Italian Day is also a dress up day, so it would be great to see children coming to school dressed in Italian theme. This may involve wearing the colours of the Italian flag, dressing as an ancient Roman, coming as a gondolier or whatever other idea you and your child may have. Please positive role-models only.

There will be two assemblies on the day. At 9.00 am we will commence the festivities and students will get a chance to show off their costumes during our traditional Italian Day parade. At 3.00 we will close the day with a performance by our fabulous Year 6s and a whole school Italian song.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

A presto!
