Changes to Bell Times for 2026

It was wonderful to see such strong support at our Information Evening on Wednesday, with over 40 parents joining us either onsite or online. We sincerely appreciate the positive feedback and encouragement that have been offered as we prepare for this important change to our school’s daily structure.

This decision has been made in consultation with our School Committee and School Advisory Council after careful consideration of how we can best support both staff and students. While any change can bring a sense of uncertainty or discomfort, we are genuinely excited about what this shift will bring. The revised bell times will increase students’ instructional time and align us strongly with the current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement - a legally binding agreement that outlines the working conditions, expectations, and entitlements for staff across Catholic schools. It’s important that we uphold this agreement to ensure we meet system requirements and maintain a sustainable and fair workplace.

One of the most exciting outcomes of this new structure is that classrooms will once again be open and accessible in the mornings. We know this opportunity for connection and calm at the start of the day has been deeply missed, and we look forward to bringing it back in 2026.

A copy of the presentation slides from the evening has been attached for your reference. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss the changes in more detail, please don’t hesitate to make a time to meet with us.
