From The Principal Team
Hi Parents and Carers,
Wow, what a magical two nights we had last week at Sandringham College's theatre for our Year 6 production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. All of our students shone on and off the stage and the level of effort, time and dedication gone into the event from everyone involved was evident. Thank you to Ms Carol Ray, our Performing Arts teacher, for all of her hard work to bring this production to life, alongside Mr Allan Skea, Mr Peter Jarvis, Mr Max Pretty, Mrs Keli David, Ms Anthea Cain, Ms Ally Palermo and Ms Eloise Robertson. Thank you as well to the many, many families that supported our students and the show, both in the lead up to and on the evenings. Congratulations to our Year 6 students on a truly incredible production, you should be very proud of yourselves!
We also celebrated a number of our students success and participation in the Division Athletics. We had a number of students who came 1st or 2nd in their event who then went on to compete at the Regional Athletics event on Monday 21st October. A shout out to Taylah, Saskia, Persia, Orlando, Mila and Poppy who proudly represented BPS at Regionals. Good luck to Persia, Taylah, Mila and Poppy who will now compete at the State Athletics. Amazing!
This term our staff will be creating the 2025 classes for our students. Please read the attached letter, which includes a link to a survey that opens 9am Friday 8th November, for genuine educational rationale requests to be made for consideration. Please note this survey closes on Friday 15th November at 5pm.
It was lovely to have the time to connect and chat with many of the parents and carers who have children in Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and/or Year 4 over the past two Tuesday mornings. Thank you for coming along. Parents and carers with children in Year 5 and/or Year 6, please join us if you're available this coming Tuesday 29th (9-9:30am in the staffroom).
This Friday 25th October we will celebrate our teachers in recognition of World Teacher's Day. We have exceptional teachers here at Beaumaris Primary who care immensely for their students and the work that they do. World Teacher's Day is an opportunity to acknowledge this and the important role they play in their student's lives.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Kind Regards,
David, Grace and Ellen
