Principal Class News
A Message from Mrs McKenzie:
A huge thank you to our fabulous PFA team for providing our staff with handmade biscuits and coffee from a coffee truck for World Teacher's Day. Their lovely message of support to our staff was also incredibly well received by all. It was certainly a day of celebrating what a fantastic job teaching is, and the impact we make. We appreciate your continued support.
Congratulations to Mr Meade
We would like to congratulate Mr Meade and his wife, Rhiannon, on the impending birth of their first child. Mr Meade finishes for the year today on parental leave and will return for the beginning of 2025.
Farewell Ms Lyne
We would like to say a big thank you to Sarah Lyne, who has worked over the past two years at Cranbourne South PS as a classroom aide. We would like to wish her all the best for the future.
A Bit of Miss Frizzle Energy for Book Parade
Our Book Week Book Parade was a highlight, with so many families coming out to join in the fun! Next year I think we might need a parent dress up competition! I loved seeing so many children dressing up as indigenous book characters, as well as others (like myself) turning out in great book characters. Ms Forbes did a great job MCing the parade! I have already started planning next year's costume!!
Grandparents Morning- Thank you!
I was so impressed by the number of grandparents, parents and special friends who came out to spend the morning with the students on Grandparents Morning. It was lovely getting into the classrooms, watching the kids proudly work alongside their grandparents and guide them outside on the book title hunt. We will definitely make sure to add some more events like this in 2025.
Murrup Day Roundup- Día de (los) Muertos
What an experience my first Murrup Day was! It was amazing seeing all the fantastic activities around the Day of the Dead, with craft activities, dancing and so much energy and positivity. I loved seeing the older children supporting the younger children and making the day so special with all of our rotation activities.
Monash Health- Health Promotion Awards
A big congratulations to our school community for being finalists for Monash Health's Health Promotion Awards. We were finalists in the area of reducing tobacco & vaping related harm as well as our work in school to improve the health and wellbeing of the community. A big thank you to Mrs Halket and Mrs Allen for going along to the ceremony last night to be part of this great initiative.
Have a great few weeks ahead,
Cate
