Congratulations to all of our Year 12 students, who have finished the official school duty of attending school each day. After 13 years, they all deserve a good break! The Year 12s ran the traditional assembly as a parting gesture to the whole school on Monday and then celebrated the end of official classes with their teachers that evening at the Year 12 Transition Evening and BBQ.
Tuesday morning saw a smaller group return to school to celebrate the end of school with a water balloon fight, a tidy up of the school, and morning tea hosted by the staff.
The Year 12s that assisted with the clean up really stepped up to fill the spots of the missing students, which was much appreciated.
Thanks to all the Year 12s for the fun and good times over the years. It has been a pleasure to get to know each of them individually, but what is most pleasing has been watching them grow into the young adults they are now. We are sending young people into our society that I am proud to say I have known.
While school is over, exams are still to come and then Graduation Evening; and hopefully at least a quick hello when we bump into each other in the community. So while it is time to say farewell, it is by no means a good bye.
As our senior students start to leave school, it is timely to remind families that any pre-loved items that can be passed on, handed down, or sold to other families. Clean uniform items in good condition can be passed directly to families or handed in to school to be passed on. Current text books can be passed on, or sold directly to families. A list of books that will be used in 2025 will be advertised in this Newsletter in early November, once the booklists have been finalised.
